Evesham 0, Stow U-13 44
EARLY in the first half it was obvious that Stow would be too strong for Sunday's hosts.
And, winning a ball against the head inside the Evesham 22, they scored the first try courtesy of inside centre Matt Mackee.
From the restart, Stow spun the ball out to the right wing where Harry Chambers was tackled.
The ball was quickly recycled and Chris Hughes scored his first try for the club under the posts and Hugo Morrissey made the conversion.
Stow again fielded the ball from the restart and drove up to halfway. The ball was then opened out to the backs and outside centre Edward Fanshawe scored under the posts. Morr-issey again kicked the conversion.
Mackee scored a second try following a neat scissors movement with fly-half Morrissey and second rower Charlie Beach soon scored his first of the season following an excellent forwards move.
Player of the match Beach was quickly back in the thick of it again breaking off the back of a Stow scrum and passing the ball out to Sam Twiston-Davies to post his first try for Stow in the corner.
In order for Evesham to benefit from the game, a number of changes were made at half-time with the Stow back row, wingers and full back swapping shirts with their counterparts.
This proved to make an enjoyable and closely fought second half when Stow crossed for two more tries courtesy of Hugo Sperry and Ted Marks.
