IMPROVEMENTS proposed at a fishing lake at Leigh, near Worcester, could get approval this week.
A service block including toilets, refreshments, ticket office and weighing room would be provided at Teme Lane, Leigh, on the edge of the car park for Brockamin Fisheries, within walking distance of the lakes.
At present there are no facilities other than a portable toilet.
A neighbour has objected on the grounds that the development is in open countryside and will lead to an increase in traffic on a busy narrow lane, together with noise and light pollution and more litter.
Malvern Hills planning officers say the commercial fishery is already established and the building would not be prominent.
They are recommending approval of the plan, which will be considered by a planning committee tonight.
