A FIRE-damaged house is to be knocked down to allow improvements to an underground flood drain in Worcester.
The burned out building, at the Millside, Gregory's Mill Street, Barbourne, has no roof and is on top of a Barbourne Brook culvert.
The entire building is set to be destroyed so the Environment Agency can carry out work to the area to decrease the risk of flooding in the future.
After the work is completed, a wall will be built around the site in a style similar to the nearby canal bridge. Officers have recommended approval and planners will discuss the application on Thursday.
