WE are appalled to read that many services at the Alexandra Hospital are being considered for transfer to the Worcester Hospital.

The strain and stress of illness is hard enough to cope with without adding to it by having to travel those extra miles. The Alexandra Hospital was built to serve all the local people which it is doing. They have all the facilities there, so surely some solution can be found without moving departments to Worcester?

We hope the powers that be will consider long and hard the enormity of the effect such a move would have on the local people. We need our local hospitals.
