HOT coffee and good conversation has proved to be the perfect blend at Studley Village Hall.
The High Street hall scooped an award for its weekly coffee morning in the Warwickshire Rural Community Council (WRCC) Village Ventures Competition 2005.
The weekly morning won first prize in the best social activity category and will be awarded £200.
Village hall committee member Hazel Wright said: "We would like to say thank you to the volunteers who run the coffee shop. They are very reliable and we are truly grateful to them.
"We also greatly appreciate our regular customers who have helped to make the mornings such a success."
The hall was also presented with the award for best village project overall at an official ceremony held at Salford Priors Village Hall. This award also carries a cash prize, which is yet to be specified.
Mrs Wright said the money would be spent on improving the hall further.
