WANTED: Bubbly females aged 15 or older; dance or gymnastics training preferable, but not essential.
These are the qualities been sought by the Worcester Wolverines - the cheerleaders for the successful Worcester Wolves basketball team, based at the University Of Worcester.
The Wolverines are holding try-outs for new members this Friday to increase the squad from seven to at least 10, to give even more impact to their matchday entertainment.
Melanie Dale, director of the cheerleaders, said: "We have just received our new kit and it seemed the perfect time to attract new members.
"We are looking for people over the age of 14 with a fun and bubbly personality.
"Cheerleading is great fun. We have a light and sound show at all our home matches and it's really well received by the crowd."
Trials are due to take place on Friday at the dance studio at the university in St John's.
Potential applicants should ring Ms Dale on 07958 489702 to confirm details and register their interest.
The Wolverines were set up in 2000 and have their own choreographer. There is also a junior section, for nine to 14-year-old cheerleaders.
