PUZZLED Stuart Watkiss is unsure whether to expect Dr Jekyll or Mr Hyde for Kidderminster Harriers' next match.
Harriers' players have been frustrating their manager with a string of in-consistent displays that have left them 11th in the Nationwide Conference.
They produced a hard-working show with flashes of good football in their 1-1 draw with Hereford at the weekend.
Watkiss hopes their tendency to pull out a performance against the division's better teams will emerge again on Saturday when second-placed Exeter City visit Aggborough.
But he admitted: "The billion dollar question is what performance are we going to turn in? I wish I could stand here with confidence and say we'll get the Hereford display again but I can't.
"It's a challenge for me, the players and the football club to get to a stage where eight or nine times out of 10 that's the level of performance we'll get. Unfortunately, we're nowhere near that at the moment.
"Exeter will be a different challenge to Hereford. They are a direct team, very strong, and I would say they are probably the best at it in the Conference. If we can repeat the level of performance and commitment, then I have faith in the boys getting a result.
"But if you have players who turn performances in against the likes of Morecambe, Darlington and Hereford, then really struggle against the lesser teams, you have to look a bit deeper.
"The players have a responsibility to get themselves motivated."
