KIDDERMINSTER fans are being asked to cast their minds back for their favourite memories of former Harriers hero Lee Hughes during happier times.
The striker, who is currently serving a jail sentence for manslaughter after a fatal road accident, is being featured in a book about West Bromwich Albion.
Simon Wright, former editor of Harriers fanzine Grorty Dick is writing about Albion's cult heroes.
He is looking for anecdotes about Hughes during his Harriers hey-day, saying: "What I'm seeking are human interest tales.
"It's the stories from on or off the pitch that I'm looking for, his relationship with individual supporters, the simple acts of kindness."
Wright is keen to emphasise his intentions are well meaning. "This is not a tabloid hatchet job. I'm simply a supporter who wants to present a full and balanced picture. His Albion days are well documented, not so his early days at Aggborough."
To help, email Wright at gd@football4sale.com or write to 32 Coles Lane, West Bromwich, B71 2QJ. All contributions used will be credited in the book.
