STUART Watkiss has defended his policy of recruiting experienced players after seeing his squad labelled as a "Dad's Army".
The Harriers manager has been upset by the flak he has received from some fans for bringing in 30-somethings Martin O'Connor, Daryl Burgess, Wayne Evans and Terry Fleming.
"I'm aware of comments that are being made about the ages of players that are coming in and that's just the order that the deals have been done" he said.
"I'll make no apologies for bringing older players in because we do need experience but it's all about getting the balance right and I'm working hard to bring in some younger athletic players to complement them."
