A LUCRATIVE non-uniform day at Comberton Middle School has given Operation Covert a £500 cash boost.
The fund-raiser, which has taken the total amount raised by the appeal so far to £32,500, was part of a district-wide dress down event in May, when first schools in Franche, Offmore, Stone and Far Forest and Birchen Coppice Middle School also participated.
Shuttle/Times and News editor, Clive Joyce, responded to the latest donation by saying: "All the schools who picked up our non-uniform challenge did so well for us but we were amazed at Comberton's success.
"There are so many demands on time and fund-raising in schools nowadays and we are so grateful for their efforts which have helped us move closer to our target."
