RED Dead Revolver is the first game to fully immerse itself into the Wild West genre. Red is a bounty hunter who is desperate to trace his father's killer.
Gamers will find themselves absorbed into the storyline as it slowly unravels over 27 chapters. Controls are easy to pick up meaning gamers can shoot limbs off enemies leaving blood gushing from the wound within minutes!
There are several features that make RDR standout above other games, namely "dead eye" mode and duels. Dead eye mode is similar in many respects to bullet time in Max Payne, gameplay slows down considerably and gamers pinpoint where they wish bullets to hit their opponent, leading to an inevitably cinematic and bloody death for Red's chosen victim.
Duels are traditional cowboy fights as seen in so many films. Gamers must quickly pull their gun from their holster and accurately shoot their opponent before crimson is flowing from their own head.
Alongside the original story mode, RDR boasts a "showdown" mode where gamers can partake in multi-player battles against one another with certain stipulations such as first player to reach a certain amount of kills is victorious. Characters and levels can be unlocked for showdown in story mode.
RDR has every clich and character one can possibly imagine in a Wild West adventure. This is an essential purchase for any gamer.
