NOT one but two evenings of top musical entertainment are coming to Wyre Forest in aid of Operation Covert.
Popular glam band, Ballroom Glitz, will blast out seventies classics next month while country music singer, Keith Manifold, will play at Stourport at the end of March.
Both events are set to boost our appeal even further towards the £25,000 mark as Operation Covert enters its fifth month.
Ballroom Glitz, formed in 1991, will take to the stage at the Chain Wire Club in Zortech Avenue, Kidderminster on Friday, April 29.
Tickets for the sparkling show are on sale at the Shuttle/Times & News offices in Blackwell Street, Kidderminster and revellers are told to expect a host of classic tunes popularised by T-Rex, Slade, Mud, The Bay City Rollers and The Osmonds.
Bass player, Peter Jezukiewicz, said: "It will be a wide range of songs for a wide range of ages.
"All my children have gone to the Scouts and Cubs and I felt they got an awful lot out of it. It is worthwhile, people putting time and effort and money into the Scouts.
"We, as a band, believe in helping organisations which are community based. It is part of our duty, if you like."
Keith Manifold takes to the stage at Astley and Dunley Village Hall on Saturday, March 26.
The singer has toured overseas and has recorded an album with the Jordanaires, the vocal group who backed Elvis Presley during the 1950s. One of his three sets will be a tribute to the legendary Roy Orbison.
