DBZ: Budokai 2 sees gamers take control of Goku in this cartoon style beat 'em up.
Graphically DBZ resembles the anime screened on television with impressive, colourful backdrops and perfect recreations of the popular characters onto the PS2.
DBZ is an extremely enjoyable game to play with various modes available such as Dragon World, Training and World Tournament.
The training serves as a basic insight into the game teaching the gamer kicks, punches, finishers and how to guard against opponents.
World Tournament is a simple tournament in which gamers compete in fights against other characters in a knockout style competition.
Dragon World is the main mode and can best be described as Tekken meets Mario Party.
Gamers travel around levels taking it in turns to make moves on a Monopoly-style board.
As gamers land on different spaces they may find items such as money or health.
When gamers run into enemies fights will ensue, this is where the game comes to life as gamers fight opponents in one round bouts.
Extra characters and skills can be unlocked as gamers progress further into the game.
These characters can then be used in the World Tournament mode or against a friend.
There is certainly no shortage of things to do and, although not the most innovative of games, DBZ: Budokai 2 is certainly a very enjoyable game.
It is an essential purchase for fans of DragonBall Z.
