THE fire drama at Rhydd Covert began at about 3.50pm on Sunday, October 10.
Fire crews raced to the scene to tackle the blaze, which destroyed part of the roof along with tents, tables, chairs, a fridge/freezer and microwave. What was once a cosy, wood-panelled base for young people was soon nothing more than a blackened shell.
The blaze was believed to have been started in a caravan next to the centre, which then spread and engulfed the building.
Three youths were reported to have been spotted running from the scene.
The case is being investigated by officers at the North Worcestershire division of West Mercia Constabulary as arson.
PC Dan Wood, beat manager for Wyre Forest West, said: "A number of people have been arrested and are helping with our inquiries."
