Snake slithers in
ONE of the UK's leading saxophonists and flautists, who has played with the likes of James Brown and Chaka Khan, will perform at Worcester's Huntingdon Hall tonight.
Snake Davis, who is also resident saxophonist on the television show Tonight With Jonathan Ross, will be performing at the city centre venue at 8pm for one night only.
Act with Rosie
AMATEUR thespians are set to take to a Worcester stage to perform Laurie Lee's bucolic classic Cider with Rosie at the Swan Theatre.
The Swan Theatre Amateur Company will be acting out the autobiographical tale of a boy who finds his vocation as a poet. Lee was inspired by the scenery and characters of the Cotswolds countryside in which he grew up in the 1920s. The show will run from Thursday, June 16, until Saturday, June 25.
Love under Nazis
A TRUE story of courage,
love and forgiveness under the Nazis during the Second World War is to be staged at Worcester's Swan Theatre. The Hiding Place will be performed by the Saltmine Theatre Company on Tuesday, June 7, at 7.30pm and tickets cost from £6.50.
You little devils
A PLAY that sees the protagonist attempting to train his junior devils in the fine arts of temptation is to be staged at Worcester's Swan Theatre.
The Screwtape Letters will be performed by the Saltmine Theatre Company on Monday, June 6, at 7.30pm, and tickets cost from £6.50.
Hollywood village
AWARD-WINNING hit West End comedy Stones in his Pockets is to be staged at Worcester's Swan Theatre for one night only.
The play, which tells the story of how a small rural Irish village community is rocked when it becomes the location for a major Hollywood film, will be performed on Thursday, May 26, at 7.30pm.
Stoppard classic
COMIC masterpiece Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead is to be performed by the award-winning English Touring Theatre in Malvern.
Based on two minor characters from Shakespeare's Hamlet, the play proved an instant success for writer Tom Stoppard. It was produced in London in 1967 at the Old Vic after critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Festival.
It will be staged at Malvern Theatres from Tuesday, June 7 until Saturday, June 11.
