BEN Gollings has played his final game for Worcester Warriors.

The winger, who joined the Sixways club in the summer from Newcastle Falcons, signed a termination agreement last night to end his Worcester career.

The 24-year-old's pregnant wife is returning to Australia to have the child in her homeland and Gollings has been forced to call time on rugby in order to stay with his family.

Whether or not the England sevens man will have to give up the game entirely remains to be seen, but Gollings will not play again this season.

Worcester have been aware of the situation for some time and were only able to sign off the utility back once Paul Sampson had been brought in as cover. Gollings' departure comes with Worcester at the bottom of the Zurich Premiership table, desperate to chalk up their first away victory at Northampton on Saturday (12.30pm).

The Warriors have, however, been boosted with key players returning for the trip to Franklin's Gardens. James Brown is back at fly-half after his neck problem, while Thomas Lombard comes into the centre following his knee ligament injury. Giscard Pieters returns to the side out wide and Mark Gabey starts because of flanker Leon Greeff's absence.

Scrum-half Clive Stuart-Smith isn't involved in the 22 after his disappointing weekend display against Leicester at Sixways. Winger Daren O'Leary has a slight calf worry but is expected to have shaken it off to start, while fellow back Ben Hinshelwood is with Scotland so misses out.

"It's a massive game for both teams," said Worcester's head coach Andy Keast. "We've let ourselves down in the last game against Leicester but the players are determined to put things right. We're all human and people make mistakes.

"If you turn around, when you are in a hole like this, and you don't get the application and the commitment then you have to have massive concerns.

"However, it means a hell of a lot to the players and they have shown their professionalism this week. They're desperate to improve and learn from Saturday. That's all, as a coach, you can ask for."
