DAVID Leatherdale has agreed to extend his one-day playing contract with Worcestershire until the end of the 2006 season while continuing his role as the club's commercial manager.
It will be his 19th season as a player following his debut in 1988.
Leatherdale said: "I am delighted to be extending my playing contract until the end of 2006 and, while conscious of the commitments both on and off the field that my dual role brings, it is with the help and support of my colleagues that I have been able to combine the two roles successfully so far.
"I am thoroughly enjoying the double role and look forward to playing a part in the progression of the club, both on and off the field, over the next 12 months and hopefully for years to come."
