YESTERDAY saw an unusual October heatwave with Worcester temperatures just short of the UK record.
The sun broke free from behind the clouds and thermometers rose to 20C, 68F.
We may not have been in our swimwear and our sunglasses but the sun was certainly felt and winter coats were left in the wardrobe.
Worcester News weatherman Paul Damari said: "Certainly in my 40 years of working in the area it was the hottest late October day.
"It will cool down over the next few days but we are likely to see temperatures of 16 to 18, which are definitely above average for this time of year."
