UPTON youngster Jess Williams will spend her half-term holidays riding a new mountain bike.
Jess, nine, who goes to Upton Primary School, won the bike by successfully solving a crime scene puzzle at the town's Community Safety Day earlier this month.
She used clues such as fingerprints to identify the correct culprit from a choice of three.
Her crime-solving skills may be used again in the future.
Jess wants to work with animals when she grows up and would like to be in charge of a police dog.
Malvern Hills District Council chairman Val Myatt presented the bike and said she was delighted at the event's success
"It's amazing how much feedback we got from the day," she said. "It was great to get the community involved in a fun day with a serious message".
