After hearing about the successful application by the Vaults Bar, at Link Top, for a licence to have adult entertainment i.e. pole dancing and lap dancing, I thought I would be one of the brave men who would like to publicly support and wish luck to the licence holder on this venture.

I will admit to visiting bars and clubs where these events are held when out on stag do's etc and from my personal experience can assure any sceptics that in the 21st Century these places are not 'seedy holes' but places where groups of people can go and have harmless fun.

I admire the landlord's bravery to undergo such a dramatic project in such an historic and traditionally quiet town and expect to see many letters of disgust, however I would recommend people to wait and see, rather than judge on speculation of what you associate with these places on TV.

The Vaults, to my knowledge, has no history of unlawful incidents and if managed properly will be somewhere occasionally offering something different, which in a town with so many 'cloned' pubs offering just a jukebox and fruit machine as 'entertainment', already is a nice change form the norm.

My partner and her friends are also looking forward to the male dancers' nights, what a pleasant change next month will bring with bars open later and a variety of theme nights on offer.

I just hope other bars in town follow suit and make an effort to bring more appeal to drinking in Malvern, instead of places like Worcester.
