EROTIC dancing nights will be held at a bar given a license for adult entertainment.
Malvern Hills District Council received no objections from residents to the application, made by Karl Crangle of the Vaults at Link Top.
The application refers specifically to performances of podium and lap dancing.
Mr Crangle said: "I've been here 12 months and I've got a good relationship with the neighbours. None of them objected to my application.
"Malvern has plenty of pubs. I wanted to open up something different, a bar with cocktails, DJs and a dress code. It's been a great success over the last year. I want the option to put on adult entertainment but it's not going to be anything seedy."
Phil Browning, MHDC licensing officer, said that under the Licensing Act 2003, any bar that wanted to put on adult entertainment had to specify it in the application, as Mr Crangle had done.
If anyone had objected to the application, it could have been taken to a public hearing. But with no objections, council officers approved the license alterations.
Door staff will have to be employed when adult entertainment is put on and no under-18s will be allowed in for the duration or for two hours before or after.
The district council has also approved Mr Crangle's application to stay open until 3am at weekends.
The new licensing regime comes into effect on November 24.
