A TEAM from QinetiQ have qualified for the finals of an international sporting event - World Team Challenge.
Five employees will head for Florida in December to compete against teams from all over the world in a series of gruelling physical challenges, including running, cycling, swimming and canoeing.
Team members Phil Kent, Will Garrett, Dan Clarke, Jon Price and Simon Vickers have been training hard, running and cycling in the Malvern Hills and taking part in adventure races all over Britain.
"We're really pleased to have qualified and we're trying to fit as much training in as we can before December," said Will.
As well as getting fit, the team need to raise £2,500 for the World Challenge's chosen charity, Dreamflight. Dreamflight is a UK-registered charity that organises holiday of a lifetime trips to Disney World in Florida for seriously ill, sick or disabled children.
All money will go to Dreamflight, as QinetiQ sponsors the team.
Thirty teams will test mind, body and team spirit in the World Challenge, which also tests IQ through code-breaking, construction tasks and lateral thinking.
Anyone who would like to support Dreamflight can donate through the QinetiQ team's website at www.justgiving.com/world _challenge_qq.
