TERRY Jenkins' hopes of glory in the Sky Bet World Grand Prix were ended in the opening round by seventh seed Kevin Painter.
The Ledbury-based thrower was defeated 2-0 (3-1, 3-0) and never really got going against a fired-up Painter.
He took the first two legs before Jenkins got off the mark, but Painter was clinical in his finishing to set up a last 16 clash with Mark Dudbridge.
