MALVERN'S Theatre of Small Convenience is staging Up Close and Personal, a series of monologues on a wide range of subjects.
The mini-plays include comedies, tragedies, poetry and bittersweet stories and cover subjects as diverse as Iraq and Sarajevo, politics, urban anxiety, infertility, school and nosy neighbours.
Twelve actors will take turns on stage and perform as part of the Swan Playwrights production.
Malvern playwright Ali Oxtoby, who wrote Dial M for Martin, the very first play to be performed in this former public toilet, wrote one of the monologues and Dympna Jardine, who starred in it, will be acting and directing.
The miscellany of monologues is on Saturday, November 5, with a matinee at 2.30pm and an evening performance at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £6 from 01684 893814.
