STOURPORT face a tough test at league leaders Clevedon Town on Saturday but manager Roy Rencher said his new-look side should fear no-one.
Swifts grabbed a share of the points at home to an in-form Leighton Town in Southern League Division One West at the weekend and the boss is relishing the chance to pit his players against the best in the league.
"In the time I have been here I have seen nothing that bothers me," Rencher admitted. "Leighton arrived on the back of a good run and had not lost in six or seven games. Yet we were the better side for much of the match."
And although the Stourport manager has seen skipper Mark Jones switch to Rushall Olympic this week, he is more than satisfied with his replacement - veteran defender Russell Dodds who produced a man-of- the-match display at the weekend.
Rencher is set to bring in more new faces ahead of Saturday's trip to the West Country with former Kidderrminster youth teamers Ben Paszkowec and Mitch Butler among those ready to put pen to paper.
"We are bringing in some good new players this week and once I have the side I want then we will start climbing the league," the manager added.
Against Leighton, it needed a late strike from Richard Burgess to secure a share of the points after a number of earlier chances had gone begging.
Burgess twice went close, as did Mark Atkinson before the former Bromsgrove Rovers ace fired home to cancel out Michael Chennells' 28th minute opener for the visitors.
Swifts: O'Malley 6, DODDS 7, Robinson 5, Jones 6, Hatton 6, Bragoli 5, McGloughlin 6, Findlay 6, Usher 5 (Volosanovs 83), Burgess 6, Atkinson 6 (Farley 77). Subs (not used): Sherwood, Coley, Jordan.
