IN a recent story about Evesham's Almonry museum and tourist centre, we inadvertently reported that it had debts of £63,000.
We have been asked to point out that the Almonry is owned and run by Evesham Town Council and that its annual expenditure is accounted for within the council's budget and the figure was, in fact, the deficit over the year. An award of £500 was made to the Vale of Evesham Historical Society "in recognition of the sterling work" at the Almonry.
Also Councillors Elliman, Cartwright and Clifford are not members of the recess committee, rather Cllr Mrs Hanlon represents North Ward, Cllr Lyon represents South Ward and Cllr Stych represents Little Hampton Ward. We apologise for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.
