KIDDERMINSTER Carolians under-12s won a three-team tournament involving Droitwich and Bridgnorth.
In their first match they won 35-0 against Bridgnorth. They scored first when Jordan Brown bulldozed over. Tom Redfern converted and he also added the extra points to a Johnny Mockett try.
The third score came from Charlie Newbould. Redfern converted to give his side a 21-0 half-time lead.
It was all KCs in the second half and Redfern went over for a try which he converted himself. He then notched another try which he again converted.
In their next match KCs won 14-0 against Droitwich after a scoreless first-half.
KCs put the first score on the board with a Sam Bills try. Redfern converted and then added the extra points to a Newbould try.
The wins left KCs top of the table followed by Droitwich and Bridgnorth.
l KCs A lost 28-0 against a more experienced Droitwich while the under 14s beat Droitwich 26-0.
Charlie Evans scored a solo try and the pack enabled the threequarters to score tries through Ewan MacDonald and Alex Hopkirk. Prop Mike Morris went over while the points tally was made up by Billy Mullins conversions.
l Missed tackles contributed to KCs under 11s downfall against Droitwich who won 29-14.
In another match against Droitwich they played better and lost 14-12.
l KCs under 10s had mixed fortunes in three matches against Stourbridge.
In the first Stourbridge triumphed 35-10 with Tom Mayall and Tom Phipps scoring one try each for KCs.
In the second Stourbridge won 50-5 with Mark Desogus scoring for KCs.
In the final game KCs won 50-10 with Tom Phipps scoring four tries and Jamie Williams three. Myles Henderson and Dominic Garbett also got on the scoresheet.
KCs under-10s played Droitwich and were beaten 20-15 despite tries by Myles Perry, Mayall and David Bisset.
Against Bridgnorth they lost 15-10 after tries by Jamie Williams and Phipps.
l KCs under-8s played in a three-way tournament, clinching a win and a draw.
The first game against Bridgnorth ended in a 20-10 win with their next encounter with Droitwich being a 15-15 draw.
