THERE were mixed fortunes for the three section leaders in the Stratford and District Alliance last weekend with only top flight Broadway managing a win.
Their 2-1 defeat of Badsey United thanks to goals from Luke Bayliss and Matthew Sheridan extended their lead at the summit of Aquaid Division One to five points after Quinton's 5-2 home defeat to Halfords.
Two goals from Neil Emms helped the Swan Inn move up to third in Herald Division Two after they overcame leaders Studley Nags Head 4-1.
Halfords moved into second after a 3-2 victory at Littleton, while Dog and Pheasant maintained their undefeated start with a 2-0 win at Shipston.
Cutler Third Division leaders ASC Welford dropped their first points of the season after Badsey United's Mark Wicks cancelled out Danny Valentino's goal for the home side.
John Beacham netted a hat-trick as Ilmington moved top with a seventh straight win - 5-1 over Inkberrow.
Brothers Brett and Matt Green spelled trouble for another unbeaten side as Bidford's second string defeated Henley Forest after a nine-goal thriller. Brett bagged a brace and Matt one to add to further home strikes from Phil Layton and Alex Banks.
FISSC Reserves got off the mark at the other end of the table after a 5-3 win at Blockley but Welford B lost for a seventh time in eight starts, this time at Tysoe, whose 9-3 win was their first of the season. James Barr banged in five for the winners.

Rangers also have a reserve team in division two of the Alliance and a strong youth section running teams from under-eight to under-14.
