FITNESS instructors at a Kidderminster health club are hoping to pedal their way closer to a cure for breast cancer with a charity cycle ride.
Sandra Marsh, Tracy Short and Helen Flello aim to cycle 50 miles by the end of October, which is breast cancer awareness month.
It is the fifth year that two of the instructors have taken on the Life Cycle Challenge.
Mrs Marsh, who owns Sands Health club, said she decided to keep fund-raising after two members died from the disease.
"We decided to keep it going after we lost a couple of members, who sadly passed away a few years ago," she explained.
"As a ladies only club, we have a lot of members who have experienced this problem."
The three women are planning to complete the challenge, organised by Breast Cancer Campaign - BCC - by each cycling 10 miles a day for five days.
Mrs Marsh has pleaded with Kidderminster residents to give generously to the campaign.
"We're desperate for donations," she said.
"Last year, we raised £1,500 and we want to try and beat this if we can.
"You don't have to be ladies if you want to pop into the club and bring a donation."
People who want to donate money can visit the club in The Horsefair, Kidderminster or call 01562 827005 to pledge money.
The charity specialises in funding independent research into breast cancer at centres of excellence throughout the UK.
