GREEN-fingered Kidderminster residents have been asked to help restore Worcestershire's lost heritage of fruit trees.

According to the county council, up to 85 per cent of its traditional orchards have now disappeared and Wade Muggleton, the council's wider countryside officer, called it a great opportunity for people to grow their own bit of Worcestershire heritage.

Order forms for the £15 trees, which are suitable for gardens or orchards, are available by calling 01905 766491.
