RESIDENTS of Wyre Forest are being advised not to waste their energy by using too much electricity or gas.
Worcestershire Energy Advice Centre - WEEAC - sent out the message to coincide with Energy Saving Week, which began on Monday.
Wyre Forest District Council part-funds WEEAC, whose advisers will help householders find ways of reducing their fuel consumption, potentially saving up to £150 a year.
David Jullien, WEEAC chief executive, said: "We can help people identify where they're wasting money.
"Everyone filling in a home energy questionnaire will receive a detailed report on precisely where they can save money, how much they'll save and how much, if anything, the measures are likely to cost.
"These include things like installing cavity wall insulation, which can cost as little as £99, using low energy bulbs and not leaving the TV on standby. We'll also give details of non-means tested grants available for some of the work."
More information is available from WEEAC on 0800 512012.
