TRUMPET and trombone players are being given the chance to play alongside a popular Kidderminster soul band.
Blind Lemon are looking for brass players to accompany them on several classic soul songs at their Christmas party gig at the Harriers Club, Aggborough on Saturday, December 17.
The band, which is made up of singer, Mark Pearsall, guitarist, Nick McCarthy, keyboard player, Rob Allen, saxophonist, Tim Pickering, bassist, Richard Morgan and drummer, Danny Koisser, was formed in Kidderminster in 1993.
They play a variety of music from the past four decades, ranging from soul to rock n roll, including tracks by The Commitments, James Brown, The Beatles and Stereophonics.
Mark said: "We would like to do something a little bit different for our Christmas party gig and, this year, we felt it would be a good idea to include a few brass players on a handful of numbers. It promises to be a fantastic evening, with some 300 guests expected."
He added: "We will be holding informal auditions and anyone who is interested must be prepared to practice with the band for several sessions in the run-up to the gig."
Applicants need to be aged 18 and over. For further information and tickets, visit www.blindlemon.co.uk or email brass@blindlemon.co.uk
