STUDENTS of a Kidderminster school mixed with television celebrities at the London Eye to celebrate World Sight Day.
The King Charles I School pupils met up with GMTV's John Stapleton and chef, Danny Boome, who appears on This Morning, for Flight for Sight. In all, 250 guide dog supporters, puppy walkers and guide dog owners were present.
King Charles I assistant headteacher, Ellen Ferguson, had decided to back the Guide Dogs' charity's earlier Shades Day, for eye care in the sun, after suffering a sudden eye condition herself.
Following her resulting operation, she persuaded the school to support the cause.
The school raised £516.41 from its Shades Day event, in which students wore their own sunglasses for the day.
Pupils attending the London event were Michaela Wilkins, Stacey-Jo Branford, Chris Pye, Frances Yung and Claire Bird.
