A £4m development to create new offices in Worcester is planned by city-based investment group Maximus.
A planning application has been submitted for 40,000sq foot of courtyard-style accommodation on a two-and-a-half acre site next to Worcestershire County Council's new offices off Wildwood Way, which Maximus completed last autumn.
The firm acquired the site from Spetchley Estate and, subject to planning consent, hopes to start work early in 2006 with a view to completion by autumn that year.
The Sinton Green-based company revealed the development will comprise a mixture of detached and semi-detached offices ranging from 2,250 sq foot to 8,000 sq foot.
Paul Jones, managing director, said: "There is very strong demand in Worcester for new offices and several city-based professional practices have already approached us about our plans to develop this site.
"We hope this scheme - The Triangle - will act as a springboard for our ongoing investment and development in and around Worcester.
"The architect's brief was to create a business park for small units and not a collection of buildings that looked semi-domesticated.
"The quality of the design and the use of materials is aimed at blending the buildings in with its location on the fringe of the countryside and to complement the county council building.
"The Triangle will provides quality offices to Grade A specification - usually only found in much larger premises."
Maximus also has ambitious plans for elsewhere in Worcestershire. Topaz, located at Junction 1 of the M42, just outside Bromsgrove, will be a modern HQ building set in a mature woodland environment with convenient travel links.
Elsewhere, Quartz Point, at junction six of the M42 (by the NEC), offers an alternative to the larger business parks in Birmingham.
Even further afield Maximus is working with North East Derbyshire Council to regenerate a redundant complex in Clay Cross. The 220-acre site will provide approximately 1.75m sq ft of residential and employment accommodation.
