Wednesbury 0 Redditch 8
REDDITCH sailed into the next round of the All England Vase Competition with this excellent away win.
An Angela Taylor penalty corner strike and Becky Southwell's fine shot was the difference at half-time.
The second half was a different story as Redditch stepped up a gear and scored six goals.
They passed the ball effectively to create space in midfield and Wednesbury could not cope with Redditch's greater skills and fitness levels.
Southwell struck her second from an acute angle before Liz Thomson's hard work down the right was rewarded when she made it 4-0.
Sharon Fish made it 5-0 from a switched corner routine before Lianne Cooper finished a fine passing move off in style. Taylor scored the final two to complete her hat trick - one of which was an excellent deflection past the helpless keeper.
Redditch resume league action on Saturday at Tenbury.
