NORTH Midlands Under-20s Development squad will take a 16 points advantage into the second leg of their showdown with Warwickshire for the Sable's Head Trophy at Moseley's new Billesley ground tonight (7.30pm).
North Midlands, who relinquished the trophy -- a mounted antelope's skull -- two years ago, recorded an impressive 21-5 win in the first leg two weeks ago.
Victory at Moseley or defeat by a margin of fewer than 15 points will allow North Midlands to reclaim the historic trophy which was first presented to the Midlands Counties Colts in the early 1960s by the touring Stellenbosch and Cape Town Universities team.
North Midlands have kept faith with the same squad that helped them to a convincing win in atrocious conditions at Broadstreet two weeks ago.
North Midlands U20 squad: Michael Hall, Lee Madelin (both Birmingham & Solihull), Edward Lawrence (Bridgnorth), Rob Crawford (Bromsgrove), Matthew Durber (Camp Hill), Neil Chivers, Robert Chivers, Alex Francis, Chris Gledhill (all Dudley Kingswinford), Perry Pudge (Ludlow), Robin Bayliss, Ryan Large, Michael Madden, Paul Morris, Greg Peace, Andrew Preston, James Thomas (all Moseley), Phillip Rogers, Alan Simmons, Tamasi Tanumi (all Newport), Peter Phipps (Old Saltleians), Richard Phillips (unattached), James Heath (Whitchurch), Shaun Earlem, James Fouracre, Dale Garner, Owen Jones, Bruce Thomas (all Worcester).
