GEORGE Latham, bricklayer, Alvechurch, was admitted to Smallwood hospital on Saturday, suffering from injuries sustained in a cycling accident.
Latham was returning home from Redditch, and rode at a fair speed down Prospect Road. Near the bottom of the hill, Latham's machine went over the cover of a sewer manhole, and he was thrown violently.
He was unconscious for some time after admission to the hospital. It was found, in addition to several wounds to the head and bruises about the body, that his collarbone was broken.
