STUDLEY Parish Church has teamed up with national theatre company Riding Lights to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the Gunpowder plot.
The company is set to perform Remember, Remember, based on the tragedy of the Gunpowder Terror in 1605, to an audience at Alcester Grammar School tomorrow.
The play tells the story of Everard, who leads a charmed existence as one of the King's bright young things, with a glamorous house, glamorous wife and a devout faith in God.
His world is turned on its head when a gang invades his life and, three years after being knighted by James I, he finds himself on trial as a traitor.
The play brings a powerful message about the world's current situation of terrorism and conflict between religions, and is even more topical for the area, because of the links between Coughton Court and the Gunpowder plotters.
The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets, priced £8 (concessions £5.50), are available on 0845 961 3000.
