HEALTHY pupils at a village school are eating raisins to raise cash.
Youngsters from Stoke Prior First enjoyed a visit from Ronnie Raisin who spent the afternoon spreading the healthy eating message.
Each child received a goodie bag, including a box of raisins to take home. The idea is once they have munched their way through the fruit, parents fill the little boxes with money to return to school.
The initiative is to get the children to focus on healthy snacks and help the school funds receive a boost.
Ronnie Raisin was the idea of mum, Chris Holloway, who with the help of other school association mums and headteacher Jan Evans, provided the children with fun and encouraged them to think about healthy eating.
