BROMSGROVE'S annual Poppy Appeal is being launched this Saturday.
On Friday, November 11, two minutes' silence will be held at the Oddfellows Memorial, near the Housman statue in the town centre, at 11am.
The Remembrance Day parade is on Sunday, November 13. It starts outside Argos in the High Street at 10am for move off at 10.15am.
A service will be held at St John the Baptist parish church but due to building work there will be no parking at the church.
Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal organiser for Bromsgrove Fred Pearson is also appealing for house to house collectors in Rock Hill, Sidemoor, Townsend Farm and also in the High Street on November 11 and 12.
Fred said: "We will be out with the poppies and hoping to raise a good amount of money through donations.
"But we need people to help us with the house-to-house collections and in the High Street."
Anyone who can help should contact Fred on 0121 445 6755.
