THE teacher formerly from Redditch who was found guilty of kissing a teenage pupil has spoken of her ordeal via the popular website Friends Reunited.
Shelley White has posted a message on the site following her conviction at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday.
The 25-year-old geography teacher, now based in Sheffield, was found guilty of kissing the 15-year-old boy twice in a classroom and once in a store cupboard.
She denied three counts of abuse of trust by sexual activity with a child.
The former Bridley Moor High School pupil is now awaiting sentencing but has been told she will not face a custodial term.
On the website, Miss White said: "Been through an awful time recently. People who know me will know the truth and to those people, I thank you."
She added: "Unsure of what I am going to do with my life now but I have support from my friends and family and I won't let the bad things in life let me down. I know the truth."
