SEAN Bowden and Georgie Savage were Bromsgrove and Redditch Athletic Club's star performers in the first cross-country race of the season at Pype Hayes Park last week.
Bowden finished third in the under-15s boys' race, while Savage came fifth in the under-11s girls' section.
Phoebe Ahern was 56th in the under-11s race, while in the under-13s event Sally Hogan (29th), Thomasina Ball (39th), Laura Porter (47th), Helen (62nd), Sophie Bales (64th), Fiona Davey (67th) all performed well.
Laura Thomas finished 73rd, while Leanne Savage (85th), Hayley Oliver (86th), Holly Chapman 90th, Beth Vincent (103rd), Kate Gething (110th) put in good performances as the team came eighth overall.
In the under-15s girls race Alice Green was 28th, Kelly Oliver 34th, Rachel Savage came 49th, Ellie McVeigh was 54th and Gemma Dixon finished 67th as the team came eighth overall.
Overall
Peggy Andrews was 39th in the under-17s girls race, followed by Hoilam Tan in 41st.
Alex Dore came 27th in the under-11s boys race, followed by Tom Newbold (34th), Nathan Simkiss (38th) and Arran Bovington (41st).
Chris Warren came 22nd in the under-14s boys, while in the under-15s race Ben Richardson came 29th and James Hood was 17th in the under-17s race.
