GLAMOUR pusses at NEW College were in the pink for a worthwhile cause.
Students of the college's Fusion Salon held a special pink day in aid of Breast Cancer Care and Cancer Research UK on October 17.
The salon was decked with pink balloons and flowers and students dressed up in their favourite pastel hues. Customers had the chance to walk away with cerise hair extensions or baby pink fingernails, or simply try a tasty pink cake.
College tutor Catherine Dodd decided to organise the fundraiser after her mum was diagnosed with cancer four years ago. She is now recovering after a mastectomy.
The Peakman Street campus hopes to raise at least £1,000 for the cause.
