EVERYONE was in the pink at the King's School, Worcester, after the school's charity committee decided to support the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.
For a donation of £1, staff and sixth formers were able to wear as many pink items as possible and a small pink prize was awarded to the most 'perfectly pink' male and female. The rest of the school also took part by buying pink carnations, cakes and ribbons, with all the money raised going to the charity, as well as raising awareness of the disease.
Brian Griffiths, of the Sixth Form Charity Committee, said: "It was fantastic to see everyone making a huge effort for such an important cause. Every contribution really does help."
The committee thought it was important to support the charity because it relies entirely on voluntary donations to continue its vital work.
Last year schools across the UK raised a total of £140,000 for the campaign.
