WORCESTER stars Jo Yapp and Kim Shaylor will turn out for England against the Black Ferns tomorrow despite a major shake-up following the 33-8 defeat in Auckland.
The hosts eased to victory in the first Test match on Saturday and England coach Geoff Richards has made sweeping changes to the line-up.
One of the victims is another Worcester player, wing Nicky Crawford, who drops to the bench. She is joined by teenage fly-half Alice Richardson.
Scrum-half and captain Yapp and wing Shaylor both retain their places for the match at the Waikato Stadium in Hamilton, which is their fourth and final match in New Zealand.
Richards is confident that the team can re-group and come out firing against the world champions.
He said: "The squad certainly didn't play to their potential but with the introduction of fresh personnel I'm hoping this tour can end on a winning note.
"A good result would add to our impressive wins against Samoa and the New Zealand Invitational XV and the squad would return home confident that the World Cup next year is within their grasp.
"This tour has always been about finding out where we are in comparison to New Zealand. We didn't do well in the first Test but now a lot more players have the chance to prove that they can front up under intense pressure.
"The team I have announced is very different, but they are also a good side. The only difference between the two sides will be their attitude on the field."
On Saturday, England suffered through a lack of attacking opportunities and poor defence while the Black Ferns came out with all guns blazing, scoring five tries in their penultimate game of the 2005 season.
From the first whistle, England's defence was under pressure and their line-out failed to function as well as it had against Samoa and the New Zealand Invitational XV.
The Black Ferns scored 18 points to England's three in the first-half, touching down for three tries and a penalty while England's only points came from a penalty from Saracens fly-half Karen Andrew.
After the re-start the Black Ferns continued in the same vein and ran in a further two tries. It wasn't until the 75th minute that Wasps prop Vanessa Gray stormed over the line to put a much needed five points on the score board.
Yapp said: "I'm disappointed with our performance. We have all worked hard and we have a great support structure but we just didn't have what it took on the day to win. The team spirit is good so I know we can pull together."
England team to face Black Fearns: Massarella, Waterman, Day, Turner, Shaylor, Andrew, Yapp; Huxford, Garnett, Gray, Spencer, Vickers, Stevens, Alphonsi, Jones.
Replacements: Rudge, Clarke, Taylor, Baker, Barras, Crawford.
