THE girls at Alice Ottley Junior School are really looking forward to using their new library.
A pleasant, airy room has been refurbished as the school library with a wide selection of books.
There is fiction to fire the girls' imaginations and reference books to help them research their projects.
They will have access to computers or be able to curl up on a bean bag with a book.
The well-known children's author Helen Cooper, officially opened the library and then spent time with the girls discussing literature.
She has written and illustrated several popular children's books such as The Bear Under The Stairs and Pumpkin Soup. Her latest book, published this month, is A Pipkin Of Pepper.
The girls dressed as their favourite characters to celebrate the new library.
