WORCESTER Warriors ran in five tries to overcome French side Montpellier in their opening European Challenge Cup match at Sixways.
The scorers included teenager Uche Oduoza, while Aussie fly-half Shane Drahm contributed 16 points including his first try for Warriors.
Skipper Pat Sanderson was also on the scoresheet and he was delighted with the performance.
He said: "It's probably been the first time this year we've put some phases together and we've broken a side down and that was quite pleasing.
"They were monsters. They were big strong men and they took some knocking down and some wearing down. The guys had to stick at it for 80 minutes and they did.
"I think the set-piece went really well and the scrum was massive."
Warriors must now travel to Sicily to take on Amatori Catania in the same competition on Saturday.
