CHILDREN were stars for a day when they performed the ribbon cutting ceremony at Pershore's new-look Co-op.
Youngsters from the town's Holy Redeemer Primary School and Abbey Park First and Nursery School were also given donation of £150 each for their schools to mark the occasion.
Store manager James Wright said: "As a community retailer it is appropriate that we involve the community in our special events and we are delighted that our local schools are playing such a central role in the re-launch of our Co-op store."
The store has undergone a revamp costing £460,000.
