DANNY Hodnett is poised to make his full competitive debut in tomorrow's FA Cup showdown at Accrington Stanley.
The Worcester City utility man will be expected to team up alongside captain Graham Hyde and 16-year-old Sam Wedgbury in midfield amid the St George's Lane injury crisis.
Seven players are expected to be sidelined for the fourth qualifying round clash, including Shabir Khan and Tom Warmer, who is struggling to overcome a virus that leaves him with dizzy spells.
Player-manager Andy Preece has every faith in Hodnett, one of five Worcester signings this summer.
Preece said: "Danny has been a blessing for us in recent weeks, coming off the bench to play in different positions. Fair play to the lad, he's never let us down."
City are underdogs for the tie at Stanley's Interlink Express Stadium.
If they complete a surprise win over the high-flying Nationwide Conference club, Worcester will enter the first round proper for the first time since 2001.
