POWICK made their usual slow start in this Worcester Sunday League division one fixture and fell behind to an early goal.
PERDISWELL 2, POWICK 4
Having survived two other close chances, Powick began to claw themselves back into the game and started putting together some decent football. This eventually culminated in a debut goal for Tim Lambeth, who blasted the ball home from eight yards out following good work from Steve Hadley.
The second-half began in similar disastrous fashion to the first when Perdiswell regained the lead thanks to sloppy defending by the midfield and back four.
With Perdiswell tiring, Brian Craven began to dictate the play in the centre of midfield and Lee Henderson negated the aerial threat posed by them.
A Stu Hart throw was expertly headed into the far corner by Stu Harvey to bring about the Powick equaliser.
With confidence now high, Powick pressed forward but found the Perdiswell defence, ably marshalled by Dave Lewis, in stubborn mood. The game was decided by two quick goals in succession from Dean Drinkwater corners, Craven and Harvey the scorers.
Stu Harvey was man-of-the-match.
